BMP Manual
This manual contains the basic principles and concepts that can be used to assist developers and contractors with designing, installing and maintaining stormwater best management practices. It is not intended to be an all-inclusive design document, as plan requirements are subject to each community’s ordinance requirements. This Manual outlines the fundamentals of standard construction and post-construction best management practices for stormwater. It contains summarized fact sheets to evaluate Site Planning & Design Practices, Erosion Prevention Practices, Sediment Management Practices, and Good Housekeeping Practices for facilities and staging operations.
This document is also used in Qualified Professional Inspector (QPI) training program that was developed by the Southern Indiana Stormwater Advisory Committee to facilitate consistent and effective self-inspections of active construction sites.
